Artist Statement – Taylor Young

As an artist I am always creating works that have sentimental meanings and

connections to me and my life thus far. I dive into my aspirations and reflect on how

and why the pieces connect to me.

My ideas reflect nature, memories, stories and personal adorations. I love to pursue art not only for the joy but to improve in my skills and document my progress as I learn more. I enjoy using a variety of mediums such as acrylic, clay and oil.

​

A large quantity of my works are created with acrylic as that is what I began with as an artist and what I continue to grow in. I see myself exploring different t subject matters, like diving more into realism, or different  mediums like paper mâché or mixed media pieces.

 

Art is to express, and I express myself through my art.
